Payment processing
The one everybody forgets to include, and usually the biggest number of the lot.
Fresha charges 2.29% + 20¢ for in-person payments and 2.79% + 20¢ online. Square is 2.6% + 15¢ on the free plan, dropping to 2.5% + 15¢ on paid tiers. GlossGenius runs a flat 2.6% on everything. Booksy starts at 2.49% + 10¢.
Those percentages look small until you run them against real takings. At $12,000 a month in card payments, 2.6% is $312 — more than almost every subscription on this list.
